Candidate roster: Elections BC ↗
Help us fill in the blanks! Not every candidate has told us where they stand on basic income. You can help change that. Use the email tool on this page to ask your local candidates to share their positions and consider taking the pledge. The more candidates we hear from, the more complete and useful this resource becomes for voters across B.C.
Elections are about more than choosing a party. They're an opportunity to learn about the people who want to represent us, what they believe, what matters to them, and what they'll work to accomplish if elected.
That's why UBI Works is reaching out to candidates across British Columbia, inviting them to share their positions on basic income and to pledge to work toward it if elected. We want to give voters a clearer picture of where their candidates stand, beyond what's written in their parties' platforms.
We'll be sharing their responses and commitments publicly, so you can see who's willing to help move basic income forward.
But this is about more than election day.
Election campaigns are a unique opportunity to make our voices heard. Candidates are out in their communities, listening to voters and learning which issues matter to the people they hope to represent. We want to make the most of that opportunity.
By starting these conversations now, we can do more than help voters make informed choices. We can introduce more future representatives to the case for basic income, find common ground across party lines, and identify potential champions who can help advance the issue in the next Legislature.
The election is just the beginning. The conversations and relationships we build today can help lay the groundwork for progress in the years ahead.
Ask your candidates where they stand. Your voice can help make basic income part of the conversation in your riding.

Together, we can show candidates that British Columbians are paying attention, and that basic income deserves a place on the political agenda.
