In its 2019 election platform, the NDP committed to creating a national Basic Income pilot project. However, the party has not taken a stance on whether or not they support a national Basic Income policy.
During their upcoming convention from April 9-11, the party will be voting on resolutions on whether to amend its policies to include support for implementing a Basic Income:
