ASK Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland to include Universal Basic Income in Canada's Recovery Plan

UPDATE (Sept 23, 2020): Read our Throne Speech Response here. If you'd still like to ask Minister Freeland to make Universal Basic Income part of our recovery, please use the form on this page!

When Parliament resumed on Sept 23, 2020, Trudeau will announce the Liberals' recovery plan. It will include changes to EI that won't go nearly far enough to help the working poor and the most vulnerable Canadians.

It won't address technology replacing more and more Canadian workers. It's time to end the tinkering with EI and move forward with real solutions.  We need 21st century solutions for 21st century problems. We need Universal Basic Income.

Our new Finance Minister, Chrystia Freeland, already knows why we  need basic income.
She presented the case for Basic Income in her 2013 TED Talk (without saying so), and she was in the audience when UBI Works founder, Floyd Marinescu, gave a talk to 2,000 delegates of the Ontario Liberal Party earlier this year on automation and UBI.

We know she understands our fight for UBI. Contact Minister Freeland below and ask her to include UBI in our economic recovery plan.
